4"x6" Photo Calendar Case shown above with our complete line
of Calendar Cases.
Q. What is a Calendar Case?
A. Calendar Cases are specially designed plastic cases
(boxes) that hold calendars, recipes, postcards, or any other promotional
materials. The case folds back to a 45 degree angle to form a display
easel for the items inside. It also functions as a storage case when
closed. This dual function of display and storage case in a single enclosure
makes them highly functional little boxes and quite popular.
Q. What do people use Calendar Cases for?
A. Calendar Cases are primarily used for the display
and storage of calendars -- including personal, retail, real estate,
promotional, and business type calendars. However, the uses are as varied
as they are creative. Calendar Case / Calendar Box users also use them
in the following ways: Recipe holders, recipe display cases, retail
postcard holder, postcard display cases, catalog cases, catalog boxes,
mini portfolio cases for models, designers, and studios, product retail
cases (wallets, shoe inserts, games, flashcards, etc...). As you can
see the functions of CD Calendar Boxes are many and limited only by
one's imagination. If you can think of any other innovative uses for
a Calendar Case please email us we will add it to the list above. We
will even feature your site in our links
page.
Q. What is the difference between a CD Calendar Case
and CD Jewel Case?
A. Great question. Many customers confuse the two cases
quite. This is the primary difference: 1) CD Calendar Cases hold calendars
2) CD Jewel Cases hold CDs.
More specifically, a CD Jewel Case is a plastic box containing a removable
tray (sometimes black or clear) which holds a disc in place with a rosette
type hub. When this "CD tray" is removed a "hole"
or empty area is exposed in the lip area towards the bottom of the case.
A Calendar Case, on the other hand, does NOT contain this tray nor does
it have a "hole". In fact, in it's closed position, a CD Calendar
Case is a very secure, dust proof enclosure for your calendar. Another
very important distinction between the two types of cases: a CD Jewel
Case contains half-moon tabs on the area where a CD insert or Calendar
would fit, whereas a CD Calendar Case does not half moon tabs. A CD
Calendar Jewel Box is completely empty on the interior allowing for
maximum, unencumbered storage space within the case itself. A CD Jewel
Case does NOT fold back. A CD Calendar Case does fold back to form a
convenient display easel / calendar holder -- ideal for a desktop, mantle,
retail counter-top, or any other flat surface. A CD Calendar Case shares
only the exterior dimensions of a CD Jewel Case. Other than that they
are two completely different products with two very distinct uses. One
important note: our CD Calendar Cases are the only Calendar Case in
the marketplace which are wide enough to accommodate a disc (either
CD or DVD). Keep in mind, the disc would be loose inside the case but
we do sell adhesive backed rosettes to hold a disc in place. So with
our CD Calendar Cases you get the best of both worlds.
Q. What are the other names for a CD Calendar Case
/ CD Calendar Box?
A. CD Calendar Cases are also called the following
names: CD Calendar Jewel Cases, CD Calendar Jewel Boxes, CD Calendar
Jewel Case, CD Calendar Jewel Box, Calendar CD Box, Calendar CD Case,
Calendar CD Boxes, Calendar CD Cases.
As the name of our company and website might indicate, we prefer the
following name: Calendar Case or Calendar Cases.
Simple, descriptive and to the point. We have five different sizes of
Calendar Cases.
Q. What sizes are the Calendar Cases?
A. We carry five sizes. Below are the exact, exterior
case dimensions and the insert dimensions.
Q. How many sheets can a Calendar Case hold?
A. Our Calendar Cases easily hold 15 sheets of 14pt
C2S Cardstock with UV coating. Our 4"x6" Photo Calendar Cases
comfortably hold 25 photos print on glossy, Fuji Crystal Archive photo
paper.
Q. Why are the 4"x6" Photo Calendar Cases
so popular?
A. Simply put: convenience and function. The main appeal
and advantage of the 4"x6" Photo Calendar Case is its universal
format. 4 inches by 6 inches is the global standard for photographs.
With literally hundreds of thousands of photo-finishers on nearly every
corner around the world, anyone can easily create 4"x6" true
photo quality calendars, portfolios etc... in ANY QUANTITY...all without
the need for cutting. Moreover, the average price for photo prints is
$0.14 with some online sites charging as little as $0.06 each. Imagine
creating a true-photo calendar for less than $1.00!
Q. Why Photo Prints and not offset, giclee, inkjet,
laser, etc.....
A. Quality, Quality, Quality! Nothing, and we mean
nothing, can rival a photo print in terms of color accuracy and saturation,
image quality and sharpness, resolution (by any metric), and pure aesthetic
beauty. A "true-photo print" is one printed on light-sensitive
paper (usually Fuji Crystal Archive Paper) which is first exposed and
then developed with a chemical process.
Price, Price, Price! Not only are the best looking calendars you can
make they are the cheapest way to print a calendar, period. When you
factor in the cost for paper, ink/toner, time, wear and tear on your
printer, cutting costs, stress of mis-cutting them the first time --
there is simply no comparison in terms of cost and convenience. 4x6
prints average about $0.14 nationally with online photo finishers advertising
$0.06 each. It is a no brainer. 4"x6" Photo Calendars are
the wave of the future.
Q. How popular are the 4"x6" Photo Calendar
Cases?
A. Very! This remarkable product is catching on fast.
We have done in 6 months with the 4"x6" Photo Calendar Case
what it took 8 years to do with our CD Calendar Cases. When we invented
the 4 by 6 Photo Calendar Cases year ago, our goal was to create a product
that would transform the Calendar Case marketplace. 4 years after our
first conceptual drawings, prototypes, mold designs, and customer input
we unveiled our patent pending design in spring of 2008 to an incredible
reception. We are excited about all our new sizes -- but the 4"x6"
Photo Calendar Cases are proving to be our biggest success ever.
